The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
